I’m happy to be offering custom art commissions!
MY SPECIALITY is symbolism through natural elements. Through your input, I’ll create imagery that speaks to a person’s essence in the form of plants and animals.

You pick flowers, plants and/or animals that speak to the personality or the energy of the person receiving the piece. Here is a great resource of flower symbolism to help you select. (btw, as for animals my speciality is BIRDS!)
You are welcome to choose any word(s) you’d like hidden in the illustration
From there I’ll create a hand-drawn piece with these guidelines:
Your chosen subject matter will be thoughtfully arranged in a balanced composition (one of my favs is a gold circle-see examples below)
Medium: black pen & ink on white archival paper, optional gold leaf, option to add selective colour
Artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity

FAQS
Q: HOW LONG WILL MY COMMISSION TAKE?
A: Please allow 4-6 weeks for me to complete the artwork (timelines can be defined in our initial discussion)
Q: HOW Much does it cost? and what size?
A: Commission prices vary depending on the size and complexity…so let’s chat first to see what your vision is. As for sizes, that’s up to you. (but I recommend standard sizes to make it easy to frame (eg. 8x10, 9x12, 11x14, 12x16, 18x24 etc.)
Q: How much do I control?
A: After our initial chat, I will provide one pencil sketch that you can review. Any requests for changes can be made at this time. Once the sketch is approved, I will move onto the ink. If you would like more rounds of sketches that can be arranged for an additional cost. Given the permanent nature of ink, once the ink has been laid down, only very minor changes can be made.
Q: CAN YOU CREATE A PORTRAIT OF MY GRANDMOTHER?
A: No, my speciality is plants and animals, so for commissions I will be sticking to flora/fauna imagery.
Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: Yes. A 50% deposit is required to secure your drawing. Once we agree on the parameters of the piece, I’ll send you an ‘Artist’s Letter of Agreement’ and an invoice for the 50% deposit. This will be required before I start working on your piece. If you chose not to purchase the drawing once it is complete, the deposit remains nonrefundable.
